Chandi Yoga and Massage
Debby was introduced to massage as a form of healing when she lived in Indonesia. After seeking massage therapy for a foot injury from a motorbike accident, she experienced immediate relief from the pain and swelling. This event piqued her interest with massage and other “unconventional” therapies. Upon returning to the US in 1998, she attended, and graduated with honors, from the New York Institute of Massage in Buffalo, NY.
Upon completion of her massage training in 2000, she established a private practice in Tempe, AZ with a focus on pre and perinatal massage. While in Arizona, she also taught Acupressure and Shiatsu massage technique and theory at the Arizona School of Massage Therapy.
Moving to Charlotte, NC in 2005, she co-founded Carolinas Natural Health Center with the mission of helping people achieve optimal health with massage and other complementary therapies. With her desire to educate and share information about alternative therapies, she was inspired to study yoga movement and philosophy. She completed her initial 200 hours of yoga teacher training in 2016, and recently completed an additional 300 hours, to complete her RYT-500.
With 20 years of massage and bodywork experience, in addition to her yoga training, Debby provides her clients with personalized therapeutic sessions. She uses a variety of bodywork techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, acupressure, shiatsu and Thai massage. In addition to these therapies, she is also certified pre and perinatal massage. Debby is also very passionate about using her knowledge of massage and yoga to help clients recover from surgery.
